Default New for 2018..

... at least

Quote:
Speaking exclusively to Auto Express, Infiniti president Johan de Nysschen said that a new Q60 coupé, a QX70 replacing the current FX 50, a high-performance luxury flagship along with a halo performance model will all be launched before 2018.
Quote:
“But we’ll develop that with a more prominent shoulder line and a strong wedge.”

De Neysschen said that the new look would be consistent across all saloon, coupé and SUV models.
so yea, sometime between now and 2018... I feel like 2018 is more for the flagship and the halo, while Q30 is immediate, Q60 no clue and QX70 should be within a year or two...

I'm still surprised that Infiniti hasn't revealed any plans to redesign the QX50. If this is true then the timeline is something like

2014: Q30
2015: Q60 and QX70
2017: Halo (Q90?)

I hope they are planning on doing more than 4 models in the next four years. Other luxury brands are spitting out new models just as fast as they can think of them.

In terms of priorities this would be my GUESS:

Q60 first
New M flag class either close or even before the Q60

QX70

Halo car

From now until 2018 that is 4 years.

Maybe one car for every year? Lets compare the life cycles

Anyone have a list of all of Infinitis cars and when they were released or refreshed?

no not Q60 first, its a low volume coupe it can wait.

Q30 first, its a premium small CUv thats already going to be late to the party.

QX70 next as its sales are getting monkey hammered, they might even start paying people to buy them

then Q60

Then a flagship

last a halo.

I think you mean Q70 halo car.
Seeing how we know very little on the Q70 and assuming the Q60 release date might have been pushed further away, it's possible we can see both debuting at the same time.

its also feasible that we have heard no plans for a QX50 update because its going to get killed off? I mean its going to operate in a small tranche of the market if it ends up sandwiched between a Q30/QX30 and QX70....

I think if they wait too long to update the Q60 and flagship M the sales will also be hammered just like the QX70.

Truth is that everything needs to be updated.

The Q30 would be a good idea as it brings in lots of cash flow

But so does the QX50...

And that thing REALLY needs an update.

or it could be killed. if the Q30/QX30 is going to operate in the same tranche of the market as QX50 why sell two redundant vehicles? I mean the QX50 is already a scaled down QX70...

Only way I can see a QX30 work, is if it's a "mini QX60", a fuel efficient CUV, priced right around $30k.
